abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To simplify the device by reducing the number of parts of a defrost heater protection device, and to efficiently transmit heat generated by a defrost heater to a defrost water receiving portion. A defrost heater protection device for an evaporator according to the present invention includes an evaporator, a defrost heater disposed below the evaporator, and a defrost water pan for defrost water melted by the operation of the defrost heater. A defrosting water receiving portion, a support member projecting upward from the defrosting water receiving portion and supporting both ends of the defrosting heater, and a cover member surrounding the defrosting heater. The frost heater includes a vertically extending upper plate for protecting the upper surface of the frost heater, and a plurality of arms formed to laterally surround the defrost heater.
