abstract | (57) Abstract: An electron emission electrode assembly capable of shortening a transition time from a glow discharge to an arc discharge, stabilizing the arc discharge, and preventing a reduction in electrode life and blackening of a bulb inner wall, and the electrode assembly. And a discharge lamp device equipped with the discharge lamp. SOLUTION: An electron emitter 5 made of an aggregate of granules 51, which are heated by electric discharge and emit thermoelectrons from an exposed surface 55, is provided near or at least a part of the exposed surface 55 of the electron emitter 5. An electron emission electrode assembly 3A comprising discharge concentrating means for contacting and concentrating discharge on the exposed surface 55, a discharge lamp 1 using the electrode assembly 3A, and a discharge lamp device 9 equipped with the discharge lamp 1. |
