(57) [Problem] To provide a high-precision and inexpensive biosensor by simplifying a configuration or a manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The biosensor 1 is formed by laminating a working electrode 3, a reference electrode 4, and a reagent layer 5 on one surface of a substrate 2, It is reinforced by the holding material 6. Each of the electrode portions 7 including the working electrode 3 and the reference electrode 4 is provided at an end of an integral conductive member made of the same carbon-based material. The lead portions 11 and 12 connecting the terminal portions 9 and 10 connected to the measuring device and the working electrode 3 and the reference electrode 4 are covered with a holding member 6 made of polyethylene terephthalate, and the terminal portions 9 and 10 are exposed. On the working electrode 3 and the reference electrode 4, a solution containing at least an enzyme and a low molecular compound as a holding agent is applied once and dried to form a reagent layer 5. When quantifying blood sugar, a blood sample is dropped on the reagent layer 5. Fine particles of approximately the same size as red blood cells may be dispersed in the reagent layer. |
