(57) [Summary] [Problem] It is not necessary to move the entire print carriage. A method and apparatus for performing on-the-fly plate exchange in a conventional printing unit is provided. A first printing unit section for printing on one side of the web 120 and a second printing unit section for printing on the other side of the web 120 are provided. Printing unit classification is blanket cylinder 2 50, a plate cylinder 260 and a nip roller 300 for applying pressure to the plate cylinder while exchanging plates on the plate cylinder. |
