PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate known drawbacks of a one-component coating composition due to release of a blocking agent during curing without impairing advantages as compared with a two-component coating composition. A paint having chemical stability including acid corrosion resistance comparable to a paint using blocked polyisocyanate as a crosslinking agent is obtained. A compound of the formula I comprising a modified hydrazide group: A compound corresponding to Wherein R represents a monomer polyisocyanate, a polyisocyanate addition product, or a residue obtained by removing an isocyanate group from an NCO prepolymer, X represents OR ′ or NHR ′, R ′ represents a group that is inert to isocyanate groups under the conditions used to form the compounds of formula I. And n has a value of 2 to 6). And a one-component thermosetting composition containing these compounds and a reactive crosslinking component.
