The present invention provides a thermal transfer recording material capable of obtaining a print of satisfactory quality without transferring and re-transferring to a dye layer or a transferable protective layer of another color when the transferred dye rewinds. . SOLUTION: The thermal transfer sheet is provided with a dye layer on a base sheet, using polyvinyl acetal as a dye layer binder resin, using a quinophthalone-based dye represented by the following general formula (1) as a yellow dye, and using a magenta dye ( The pyrazolotriazole azomethine dye of 3) was used, and the indoaniline dye represented by (4) was used as the cyan dye.
