titleOfInvention | Light beam scanning method and apparatus |
abstract | (57) Abstract: An image information reading apparatus using a light beam scanning apparatus can start recording and reading at an appropriate timing without being affected by noise. SOLUTION: A mask signal generation circuit 30 sets a period in which a sheet leading edge in one main scanning period is assumed to be detected to L level in accordance with a main scanning start point signal H0 indicating the start of main scanning of a light beam L. And generates a mask signal Sm that indicates the presence of the sheet 59 detected by the detector 22. Based on a pulse other than a pulse generated during the period when the mask signal Sm is at the L level, recording is performed. By not starting reading or reading, it is possible to prevent recording or reading from starting at inappropriate timing due to electrostatic noise or stray light generated during a period in which it is not assumed that the leading end of the sheet 59 is detected. |
