abstract (57) Abstract: An improved folded optical system based on a reflection optical imaging element is provided. In an optical assembly according to the present invention, a first linear polarization filter passes light polarized in a first direction, and a second linear polarization filter has a second linear polarization filter orthogonal to the first direction. The light polarized in the direction of is transmitted. The folded imaging assembly includes first and second lenses and a first quarter wave plate.
