titleOfInvention | Method for producing water-insoluble photographic fine particle dispersion, dispersion thereof and silver halide photographic light-sensitive material containing the same |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid particulate aqueous dispersion of a water-insoluble photographically useful compound, which has excellent dispersion stability, low viscosity, and excellent coatability, and a method for producing the same. Further, the present invention provides a photographic light-sensitive material which is excellent in photographic performance when a water-insoluble photographically useful compound is applied at a high concentration and has excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The method for producing an aqueous dispersion of solid fine particles of a water-insoluble photographically useful compound and solid fine particles of a water-insoluble photographically useful compound, wherein at least two gelatin solutions are mixed, has an isoelectric point of 6.0 or more. After dispersing the solid fine particles in a first gelatin solution containing gelatin of not more than 0.0, the dispersion is mixed with a second gelatin solution containing gelatin having an isoelectric point of not less than 3.0 and not more than 5.4. A process for producing an aqueous dispersion of solid fine particles of a water-insoluble photographically useful compound, comprising the steps of: preparing an aqueous dispersion obtained by the method; and a photographic light-sensitive material using the aqueous dispersion. |
