abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide an electron beam irradiation apparatus for treating powder and granules, The amount of inert gas used to replace the irradiation atmosphere with an inert gas atmosphere is reduced, and oxygen attached to the powder is removed before the powder reaches the bottom of the irradiation window. SOLUTION: A pool of conveyed material is formed on an inlet side and an outlet side of a transfer path, and an inert gas is blown into the pool on the inlet side.
