(57) Abstract Disclosed are novel saccharide derivatives that inhibit the binding of toxins (eg, non-thermostable enterotoxins or cholera toxins) to their receptors, either in vitro or in vivo. In addition, compounds are disclosed that inhibit the binding of enterovirus organisms (eg, bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc.), such as Vibrio cholerae and Escherichia coli enterotoxin-producing strains, to their cell surface receptors. |
