abstract | (57) An image forming method using an intermediate transfer member is provided. Provided are a cleaning device capable of forming a good electrophotographic image while maintaining sufficient cleaning performance of an intermediate transfer member for a long period of time, an image forming method using the cleaning device, and an image forming device. SOLUTION: In a cleaning device for transferring a toner image formed on a photoreceptor from a photoreceptor to an intermediate transfer member and removing toner remaining on the intermediate transfer member, the cleaning device includes a cleaning blade and a metal sheet member. The cleaning blade is in close contact with the sheet metal member on a surface opposite to the surface that comes into contact with the intermediate transfer member, and a step is provided between the tip of the cleaning blade and the tip of the sheet metal member. A cleaning device wherein the step is such that the thin metal plate member is located farther from the intermediate transfer member. |
