titleOfInvention X-ray generator
abstract (57) [Summary] X is capable of accurately and stably outputting an electron beam by suppressing a temperature difference between a cathode and a Wehnelt electrode. A line generator is provided. An X-ray generator according to the present invention includes, in an electron source thereof, a cathode and a Wehnelt electrode formed of a thin flat plate tapered from the periphery of a support portion toward the cathode. ing. That is, by reducing the thickness of the Wehnelt electrode 5, the Wehnelt electrode 5 that has been radiated with heat from the cathode 4 immediately rises to substantially the same temperature as the cathode 4, and the adhesion of the insulator to the Wehnelt electrode 5 is suppressed. As a result, the electron beam according to the set conditions can be output accurately and stably, and X-rays can be generated accurately and stably by this electron beam.
