titleOfInvention | Plant transformation method |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nWe have now found a seedling-based Agrobacterium-mediated gene transformation method applicable to dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous plants that can be transformed by Agrobacterium. In this transformation method, Agrobacterium T-DNA carrying a target gene is introduced into seedlings by utilizing vacuum infiltration. At maturity, seeds recovered from the infiltrated seedlings are germinated and progeny that carry the transgene are selected. In this transformation method, progeny showing stable transgene inheritance can be obtained without the need for regeneration methods such as somatic embryogenesis and organogenesis. |
