titleOfInvention | Virtual private lockbox |
abstract | (57) Abstract: A system and method for achieving electronic fund transfer credit messages. The main structural components of the system include a payment portal processor (PPP), an Internet payanyone (IPA) account, a virtual private lockbox (VPL) and a linked account reporter, an existing EFT network, and a VPL or IP account. Includes cash card for access. PPP is a software application that provides a secure portal to access (link) a user's business savings account (DDA) or IPA account, and can be combined with traditional digital wallet functionality. Consumers can fund their accounts, shop online, pay bills, make general payments, store electronic receipts and transaction histories, and recent activities of their PPP-enhanced wallets. Use a PPP-enhanced wallet to check. An IPA account is a special purpose account with limited functionality for making electronic payments in the form of EFT credit messages. The VPL is a limited function receive-only account for receiving electronic payments via EFT. The Account Reporter is an entry point for examining transaction history and IPA and VPL account balances, providing online, real-time transaction reports, and reconciling accounts receivable / purchase account records to incoming EFT payment records. Physical cards can work with either IPA or VPL accounts to provide PIN debit capabilities. |
