abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a cylinder block spacer and a cylinder block provided with the spacer, which can suppress the amount of heat taken from a cylinder bore wall. (1) A cylinder block spacer (1) used for a closed deck type cylinder block, which is inserted into a water jacket (11) from a hole formed in the cylinder block and is assembled to the water jacket. A cylinder block spacer 1 configured to be deformable such that a surface facing the cylinder bore wall is in close contact with or close to the cylinder bore wall after insertion into the jacket. (2) A closed deck type cylinder block 10 in which a spacer is provided on a water jacket. The cylinder block 10 is processed according to the dimensions of the spacer 1, and holes corresponding to the dimensions of the spacer are formed so as to be connected to the water jacket.
