titleOfInvention Manufacturing method of sound absorbing material
abstract An object of the present invention is to improve mechanical properties of a calcium silicate-based sound absorbing material without substantially lowering the sound absorbing properties. SOLUTION: In a sound absorbing material (4) made of calcium silicate hydrate, continuous pores (7) in which a large number of pores (5) communicate are arranged in substantially the same direction. The continuous pores are formed by adding aluminum to the reaction system in the production process of the sound absorbing material to generate air bubbles and arranging the air bubbles in the horizontal direction by utilizing the specific behavior of the air bubbles. Since the sound absorbing property of the sound absorbing material is increased, if the sound absorbing property is suppressed to a certain low level, the mechanical properties of the sound absorbing material can be improved accordingly.
