abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel double-stranded ribosome-inactivating protein (RIP), a process for preparing the same, and a preparation thereof. SOLUTION: Chain A has two N-glucosidase activities of ribosome / ribonucleic acid, and chain B is composed of two chains A and B having lectin activity, which are linked by disulfide bridges. Novel non-toxic ribosomes, bases nigrin 1, ebulin 1 and racemosin b, of plant origin, having two chains in the extracellular region, capable of interacting with nucleic acids and causing inhibition of protein biosynthesis Activating protein (RIP); the novel protein is linked to a carrier molecule (antibody, hormone or other protein) that can be recognized by a membrane receptor present in the target cell and its several ribosomes Inactivation of the ribonucleic acid allows a specific and selective action of chain A on the target cell, whereas the extracellular region A non-toxic protein, substantially avoiding indiscriminate attack of the RIP on cells not selected by the carrier molecule, and the like, a process for preparing the same and a preparation thereof.
