titleOfInvention | Magnetic recording medium |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a magnetic recording medium which is excellent in smoothness, electromagnetic conversion characteristics and running durability, is less prone to failure due to transport of a support during the manufacturing process and drops off a magnetic layer, and is excellent in productivity. A radiation-cured layer obtained by coating a radiation-curable compound on a nonmagnetic support and then cured by irradiation, and a magnetic layer in which ferromagnetic fine powder is dispersed in a binder containing polyurethane are arranged in this order. The magnetic recording medium according to claim 1, wherein the radiation-cured layer contains 0.1 to 30% by weight of polyurethane with respect to the total of the radiation-curable compound and polyurethane. An intermediate layer in which nonmagnetic powder and / or ferromagnetic fine powder is dispersed in a binder containing polyurethane may be provided between the radiation-cured layer and the magnetic layer. |
