titleOfInvention Inorganic polarizing element, polarizing optical element, and liquid crystal element
abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a novel wire grid type polarizing element having a simple structure, excellent heat resistance, excellent polarizing function and bright. A one-dimensional line grating made of a conductive material is formed on a flat surface of a transparent base made of an inorganic material, and the base of the formed one-dimensional line grating and a flat surface of the base are formed on the same plane. None, the end opposite to the base is formed to have a semicircular cross-sectional shape, the refractive index of the interstitial medium: n, the arrangement pitch of each lattice line of the one-dimensional line lattice: d (nm), light Wavelength: λ 0 (nm), thickness of one-dimensional line grating: t (nm) satisfies the conditions (1) and (2).
