A nucleic acid molecule encoding an amylolytic enzyme is provided. Further provided are vectors, host cells and plant cells, and plants containing them, transformed with the nucleic acid molecules described herein. Moreover, methods for making transgenic plants that exhibit increased or decreased starch degradation are described. |
