PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for mollusk-derived waste that is low in cost, excellent in safety, capable of adding high added value, and capable of treating heavy metals. SOLUTION: Mollusk-derived waste is decomposed with at least one of supercritical water and subcritical water. According to this method, the waste can be decomposed into high-value-added substances such as organic acids, phosphoric acids, amino acids, and fatty acids. Furthermore, if the waste contains heavy metals, they can be concentrated to a specific fraction. An example is shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 40, according to the method, for example, most of cadmium contained in scallop uro can be concentrated in the fat phase and the solid phase. Therefore, according to the treatment method of the present invention, mollusk-derived waste containing heavy metals can be effectively recycled. In the treatment method of the present invention, subcritical water is preferably used from the viewpoints of decomposition ability, safety, equipment cost, running cost, and the like.
