titleOfInvention | Cooling device for internal combustion engine |
abstract | An internal combustion engine having a gas-liquid separation action of a coolant regardless of opening / closing of a flow control valve while suppressing a decrease in the liquid level in a reserve tank before the flow control valve is opened and ensuring a necessary system pressure. A cooling device is provided. A reserve tank (21) is connected to a thermo upstream passage (15) which is upstream of a thermostat (13) via a downstream first passage (23), and is downstream of the thermostat (13) via a downstream second passage (24). It is connected to the thermo downstream passage 16. Regardless of the state of the thermostat 13, the coolant always circulates in the reserve tank 21, and the coolant and air contained therein are separated in the reserve tank 21. When the temperature of the coolant rises above a predetermined temperature, the thermostat 13 opens and the coolant circulates between the radiator 6 and the engine 1, and the coolant in the reserve tank 21 flows into the downstream first passage 23 and the downstream side. The cooling liquid is returned to the cooling system through the second passage 24. [Selection] Figure 1 |
