titleOfInvention | Image forming apparatus |
abstract | An image forming apparatus using an electrophotographic system such as a copying machine, a facsimile machine, a printer, and the like, in particular, a tip of a surface of a latent image carrier or a toner image carrier so that friction is generated between the surface. With respect to the one having a plate-like blade that is brought into pressure contact, it is possible to suppress the accumulation of deposits on the tip of the blade over a long period of time. A bias application unit (22, 23) avoids a period during which a toner image forming cycle is being executed, and causes the contact charging member (21) to have a peak-to-peak voltage larger than a peak-to-peak voltage of an oscillating voltage included in the image forming charging bias. A cleaning charging bias in which an oscillation voltage of voltage is superimposed on a direct current is applied, and the reciprocating mechanism 65 is a latent image charged by the cleaning blade tip 611 and the contact charging member 21 to which the cleaning charging bias is applied. The surface of the carrier 10 is relatively reciprocated. [Selection] Figure 1 |
