abstract | To provide means for easily selecting microbeads to which a target nucleic acid is bound without using a device such as a cell sorter when producing a microbead array, and microbeads used in the means. A method for selecting a microbead to which a target nucleic acid is bound without using a cell sorter by labeling the target nucleic acid to be immobilized with at least two kinds of labeling substances. That is, the target nucleic acid to be immobilized is labeled with at least two types of labels, eg, a detectable labeling substance and a labeling substance that can bind to the solid phase, such as a fluorescent substance and biotin, and a labeling substance that can bind to the solid phase. A method of sorting microbeads. Microbeads to which a target nucleic acid is bound, wherein the target nucleic acid to be immobilized is labeled with at least two kinds of labeling substances.
