A system and method for a visitor to a facility to generate their own photo identification card. The user terminal inputs identification information including his / her name and prompts the user to take a picture of the user. An identification badge for the user is printed on a predetermined medium. The identification card can be given a barcode and a unique identification number. The user can be presented with an identification preview when the identification card is printed. Upon exiting the location, the user can exit the location by signing out of the system by scanning a bar code or entering a unique identification number.
