abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct-type backlight diffusion plate excellent in display quality that is thin and lightweight, excellent in heat resistance and dimensional stability, and does not deteriorate the performance of other optical members. A diffusion plate for direct type backlight comprising at least a transparent resin (a) and a glass fiber (b). Or the diffusion plate for direct type backlights which consists at least of transparent resin (a), glass fiber (b), and microparticles | fine-particles (c). The transparent resin (a) is preferably made of a curable resin that can be cured by heat or active energy rays, and the glass fiber (b) is preferably made of a glass fiber cloth.
