| abstract |
The drying time of a resin pellet can be shortened by heating the water adhering to the resin pellet or impregnated bound water to a temperature that can be vaporized in a short time when the resin pellet is dried under reduced pressure. Consistency between the molding time by the molding machine and the drying time of the resin pellets can be achieved, thereby enabling an efficient molding operation. In a resin pellet drying apparatus that dehumidifies resin pellets supplied to a molding machine in a desired reduced pressure state by means of reduced pressure drying means, the resin pellets supplied to the reduced pressure drying means are non-melted and reduced in pressure by preheating means.
