abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for cooling the upper and lower surfaces of a steel plate after rolling more uniformly in the plate width direction and the plate thickness direction. In a steel sheet cooling apparatus that injects a cooling medium onto the upper and lower surfaces of a steel sheet that is constrained by a plurality of pairs of constraining rolls and that is transported on a transport line, (i) a cooling medium is placed below the transport line. (Ii) A cooling surface in which injection nozzles for injecting a cooling medium are regularly arranged at predetermined intervals on the upper side of the transport line. Is disposed at a position where the distance H from the upper surface of the steel sheet satisfies the following formula. H (mm) ≦ a (Q · W · L) 2 + b (Q · W · L) + c (where Q: water density of water supplied to the upper surface of the steel sheet (m 3 / m 2 · min), W: Sheet width (mm) of steel sheet, L: distance between pair of restraining rolls (m), a, b, c: constant) [Selection] Figure 3
