titleOfInvention | Image forming apparatus |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus employing a method of forming a multi-beam type electrostatic latent image, particularly a method of using a surface emitting laser that can be easily arrayed as a light source and simultaneously scanning 3 to 10 or more laser beams. Another object of the present invention is to provide an electrophotographic photosensitive member capable of realizing high image quality and high speed, and an image forming apparatus using the same. An image forming apparatus including at least an electrophotographic photosensitive member, a charging unit, an exposing unit, a developing unit, and a transferring unit, wherein the exposing unit includes a surface emitting laser array as a light source, and the surface emitting unit. The image forming apparatus is configured to scan the electrophotographic photosensitive member with a plurality of light beams from a laser array, and the light attenuation curve of the electrophotographic photosensitive member satisfies the following formula (1). (VH−VL) × 0.10 ≦ [(VH + VL) / 2] −VM ≦ (VH−VL) × 0.30 (1) [Selection figure] None |
