Manufacturing techniques for forming electrical components are described. For example, a layer of a metal powder composition is deposited on at least a portion of the substrate. Pressure is applied to the metal powder composition by a hydraulic press having one or more protrusions to capture the pattern on the substrate. The metal powder composition compressed by the protrusions of the hydraulic press adheres to the substrate and forms a captured pattern. The metal powder composition in the region that is not compressed by the protrusions of the hydraulic press can be removed without adhering to the substrate. These metal powder compositions can be compressed to form electrical components such as antennas, capacitor plates, conductive pads, etc. for use in electronic surveillance systems (EAS), radio frequency identification (RFID) systems, etc. . |
