A nozzle for creating a flat spray pattern, the nozzle comprising a fluid passage terminating in an end wall with an outlet opening (20), wherein the fluid passage is at least one deflector for diverting the fluid towards the opening ( 3, 4) and adjustable means (21, 22) for changing the cross section of the opening, the artificial snow making device comprises at least one nozzle of the above kind, which in use radiates a water column of water drops. The nozzle is positioned adjacent to the jet of compressed air, and the variation in the cross section of the opening reflects the characteristics of the water column. |
