A solid golf ball having a special feeling of a wound golf ball is provided. A golf ball includes a core, an outer cover layer, and optionally an intermediate layer disposed between the core and outer cover layer. The outer cover layer may comprise a polyurethane or polyurea blend. At least a portion of the golf ball has a formulation that improves the physical and / or performance characteristics (eg, coefficient of restitution) of the golf ball.
