The present invention relates to a fumaric acid derivative and an ophthalmic lens using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a contact lens or intraocular lens that is a fumaric acid diester having a hydrophilic group and a silicon-containing alkyl group in the same molecule. [Effects] The fumaric acid derivative of the present invention has excellent oxygen permeability by having a silicon-containing alkyl in the molecular structure, while having a hydrophilic substituent in the same molecule, It is possible to improve the compatibility. In addition, when an ophthalmic lens obtained by polymerizing a monomer composition containing the fumaric acid derivative is configured as a water-containing lens, for example, it is excellent in compatibility with a hydrophilic monomer to be used in combination, and is mixed in various ways. A lens having a high degree of oxygen permeability and transparency that does not depend on the water content can be obtained. [Selection figure] None |
