abstract Disclosed is a glass colorant for a color feeder that is less foamed by a reduction reaction and can obtain a stable amber color. A glass colorant for a color feeder containing 0.5 to 10% by weight of S as a coloring component and 0.1 to 5% by weight of C and 1 to 20% by weight of Si as reducing agents. . Since a network structure of SiO 2 , which is the main component of glass, is generated by the reduction reaction of Si, stable color development can be obtained without causing intense foaming as in a conventional reducing agent. Furthermore, a more stable color development can be obtained by adding an oxidizing agent as a color development aid. In addition, dark amber glass can be produced by adding the glass colorant for the color feeder to the amber glass substrate. [Selection figure] None
