A method for stabilizing an underground formation surrounding a borehole comprising placing a treatment liquid comprising a crosslinkable polymer and a crosslinking agent in the formation and allowing the treatment liquid to gel in situ. After placing the treatment liquid in the formation, the activator liquid is pumped into the well to crosslink the polymer to form a gel. |
