abstract |
The present invention provides acyl alkyl isethionate esters useful in consumer products. The alkyl-substituted hydroxyl alkyl sulfonate is prepared by reacting one or more carboxylic acids with one or more alkyl-substituted hydroxyalkyl isethionate esters under esterification reaction conditions. The alkyl-substituted hydroxyalkylisethionate used as a raw material in the production of this ester is produced by reacting bisulfite with one or more alkylene oxides. |
