The present invention relates to a droplet microreactor, i.e. a microreactor comprising droplets of a specific liquid. Since the microreactor has no barrier, the microreactor is delimited by the interface between the specific liquid and the surrounding environment and the interface between the specific liquid and the support on which the droplets are placed. The microreactor is characterized in that it consists of droplets containing at least one ionic liquid. The invention also relates to a method for performing chemical or biochemical reactions and / or mixing using the droplet microreactor, and to a lab-on-chip comprising the microreactor according to the invention. |
