PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin material-particulate composite material having a mechanical property and an optical property suitable as a sealing member or a filling member of a light-emitting element and specialized in the properties of a silicone resin material, a method for producing the same, and a composite thereof To provide an optical material obtained by curing a material, and a light emitting device using the optical material. The surface of high refractive index inorganic fine particles is treated with a surface treating agent R 1 X 1 to R 3 X 3 . R 1 is a long-chain aliphatic or alicyclic hydrocarbon group.
