A microchip capable of integrating a liquid phase evaporation operation as an operation on the microchip is provided. In a microchip 10 having a gas-phase flow path 13 inside, a liquid phase is dispersed in a pool portion 12 at the bottom of the flow path 13 by using capillary force, and the dispersed liquid phase is stored. At least a part of the liquid phase stored in the pool portion 12 is evaporated. By utilizing the capillary force, the liquid phase can be dispersed and stored in the pool portion 12 at the bottom of the flow path 13 in the microchip 10. Moreover, even if a gas phase is caused to flow through the flow path 13 for the evaporation operation or the flow path is evacuated, the liquid phase accumulated in the pool section 12 remains in the pool section 12 due to surface tension. For this reason, the highly efficient evaporation operation in the microchip 10 is realizable. [Selection] Figure 1 |
