| abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm structure of a welding gun which has a cooling water pipe fixed to a cavity formed in a light alloy arm, and is not easily damaged, and has an excellent cooling function. SOLUTION: In light alloy welding gun arms 3, 5 whose inside is formed in a cavity 13 in the longitudinal direction by extrusion molding, cooling water pipes 15, 16 are inserted into the longitudinal inner wall 14 of the cavity. A pair of U-shaped grooves 17 and 18 are provided and small grooves 19 and 20 and belt-like tongue pieces 21 and 22 are formed along each groove. The belt-like tongue pieces are caulked and deformed to fix the cooling water pipe to the inner wall of the cavity. This is an arm structure of a welding gun, and two pairs of U-shaped grooves may be used as preliminary grooves for fixing the cooling water pipe. [Selection] Figure 2 |
