| abstract | The present invention provides a cleaning auxiliary brush capable of reducing the amount of toner to be cleaned by a cleaning unit and charging and discharging the toner, and a cleaning device using the cleaning auxiliary brush. A cleaning auxiliary brush is disposed upstream of the cleaning unit in the moving direction of the image carrier. The cleaning auxiliary brush has at least two types of charging / discharging hair member and toner removing hair member having different charging characteristics disposed on the same metal core, and the charging / discharging hair member is connected to the toner removing hair member. On the other hand, the yarn electrical resistance is low, the hair length is short, the fiber diameter is small, the charging / static hair member is in non-contact with the image carrier, and the toner removing hair member is in contact with the image carrier.
