abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base film for hydraulic transfer printing which is excellent in transfer printing suitability, excellent in film removal after transfer, and improved in productivity. A base film for hydraulic transfer printing comprising a polyvinyl alcohol-based film, the polyvinyl alcohol-based film comprising a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin (A1) having an average saponification degree of 80 to 95 mol% and a polyvinyl alcohol-based film. A polyvinyl alcohol resin (A2) higher than the average saponification degree of the resin (A1) and a polyvinyl alcohol resin containing a polyvinyl alcohol resin (A3) lower than the average saponification degree of the polyvinyl alcohol resin (A1).
