abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair styling agent that has a good hair set holding power and requires less stickiness even when the set polymer alone is used at high humidity. A hair styling agent comprising a polyvinyl alcohol resin containing a side chain 1,2-diol structural unit represented by the general formula (1). Since the hair styling agent is excellent in water solubility, an aqueous hair spray having a water content of 40% by mass or more can also be provided. [Chemical 1] (In formula (1), R 1 to R 6 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or an organic group, and X represents a single bond or a bond chain.) [Selection figure] None |
