abstract [Solution] Edit and play back video using a rendered queue for storing rendered video frames. The rendered queue avoids video glitches that occur when video frames are rendered at a speed lower than the timeline speed of the video file and facilitates smooth video playback in the forward and reverse timeline directions. Embodiments of the present invention also relate to rendered queues and further include the use of a graphics processing unit to ensure smooth playback of the video. [Selection] Figure 1
