Disclosed are methods and compositions for treating or preventing diarrhea. The method includes administering to the individual a therapeutically effective amount of an LPA 2 receptor agonist to treat or prevent diarrhea. At least one LPA 2 receptor agonist in an amount effective to inhibit the formation of a macromolecular complex between LPA 2 receptor, CFTR, and Na + / H + exchange regulator 2 (NHERF-2) Also disclosed are methods of inhibiting CFTR activation by administration. |
