titleOfInvention Exhaust purification device
abstract To improve NOx purification efficiency. A support 18A of a NOx reduction catalytic converter 18 that reduces and purifies NOx in exhaust using ammonia generated from an aqueous urea solution by hydrolysis, and an ammonia adsorbent A in a predetermined length portion on the exhaust inflow side. While the remaining part on the exhaust gas outlet side is coated with NOx reduction catalyst B. Further, instead of such a configuration, the first layer containing the ammonia adsorbent and the NOx reduction catalyst in a mixed state on the surface of the carrier 18A of the NOx reduction catalytic converter 18 and the first catalyst containing the hydrolysis catalyst. The two layers are coated in this order. When ammonia generation cannot follow a rapid SV change during the transition period of the engine operating state, NOx is reduced and purified using ammonia adsorbed on the ammonia adsorbent.
