| abstract |
The present invention provides a novel means capable of efficiently and mass-producing microbial fats and oils. SOLUTION: The method for cultivating oil-fat producing bacteria of the present invention comprises (1) cultivating oil-fat producing bacteria in a medium having a saccharide concentration of 10% to 30%, or (2) containing saccharides and comprising saccharides and salts. Culturing the oil-producing microorganism in a medium having a total molar concentration of 0.60 mol / L to 1.16 mol / L. [Effect] According to the present invention, the yield of fats and oils produced by fat and oil producing bacteria can be increased by a simple method of adding a predetermined amount of sugars or sugars and salts to the medium and culturing.
