abstract | In a thermoplastic elastomer composition in which a halogenated isoolefin paraalkylstyrene copolymer rubber is dispersed and filled in a polyamide resin, it is desired to maintain the fluidity of the polyamide resin while maintaining the fine dispersion and high filling rate of the rubber. And A process for producing a thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a polyamide resin (A) as a continuous phase and a halogenated isoolefin paraalkylstyrene copolymer rubber (B) as a dispersed phase, comprising: a resin (A); The rubber (B) is kneaded by reaction to disperse the rubber (B) in the resin (A), then the crosslinking agent (C) is added to dynamically crosslink the rubber (B), and then the terminal amino group of the polyamide resin. The compound (D) capable of binding to the resin (A) is added in an amount of more than 0.01 parts by mass and less than 3 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the resin (A), and melt-kneading is performed at a melting point or higher of the resin (A).
