Apparatus and method for separating ions from a porous electrode that is part of a deionization system |
abstract |
The electrode used in the deionizer has a granular conductive material arranged in a layer defined by a first surface and a second surface. The electrode includes a substrate disposed with respect to the first surface and a first member disposed with respect to the second surface, wherein the first member includes therein a particulate conductive material so as to absorb ions. Through the fluid and is in contact with the particulate conductive material. |
